1. People have an identity that is beneath the surface and never changes.

I think that allot of your identity is similar to your friends or people you spend allot of time around, people seem to conform to the way people they're around dress, act and talk, there can also be a link between where you live and your identity, people from Essex are annoying, have really white teeth and act a bit gay as far as I can see from representations on TV or stereotypes while people from Herefordshire are all farmers. in a literal sense people can easily change their identity by changing their surface like clothing and hair styles while they will always be the same on the inside with things like accents and reactions

3. Power is something you can get, it is not something given.

i think that power is easy to get by the way you dress, if boys dress effeminately people wont see them as masculine and will be perceived as to have no power, people who seem to have a presence wherever they go can be seen to have power

ive confused myself :(

this clip perfectly shows how someone can be percieved as powerful simply

1  How do the clips represent violence?

neither of the clips show anyone dying whis can be percieved as the violance being harmless although the game format allows the audience to interactively be violant on the game which will allow them to proceed to the next level while the movie will have a more passive audience that will watch the film and probably not take away any feelings that you need to be violant to acheive anything. the clips seem to show violance as fun although serious at times because of the risk envolved but it is also shown at times in a playful manor as the game is actually a game for people to play for fun and the movie trailer seems to be laced with entertaining catch phrases and situations that people wouldnt come across in real life.

2  Do you believe that the Media promotes violence?

violance seems to be a key aspect in all forms of media from news and tv to music, stories of violance will always seem interesting and people will always want to know more, i dont think most media formats mean to promote violance such as news chanels are just reporting the news, this is the same for news papers and some magazines, high rated tv programmes such as misfits show violance in every episode but that is just what gets viewers, people can relate to it in ways althou it is usually a far mor extreme example then what they would have experienced it can conform to their expectations of city life, just without the super powers. and forms of music that do envolve violance are usually by people who have been envolved in some kide of violance or have experienceed a similar lifestyle, therefore i do not think that the media means to promote violance but subliminally they do
