Homework that i did

three products that demonstrate the impact that new and digital media has had on the film industry

1

advances in the technology used in consumer TV's such as blue ray and 3d

films have to be filmed in higher quality else HD tv's would be pointless although the camera's used to film tv where better quality then it was shown on old tv's because of the low resolution screens

also 3d being made domestic means more programmes and dvd's have to be released in 3d to make the tv worth having

and because of blue ray being released the camera's used had to up quality even more

2

because of home cinema systems and film streaming websites like netflix there is less point in going to the cinema to watch a film because the 'cinema experience' can be replicated in your own home and allot of inconveniences are abolished, like not being able to pause if yon need the toilet and the person with a cold sat behind you.

and because of 'smart tv's' it's easier to sync your tv with netflix or itunes

3

3d has to be shot a certain way, it has never looked as good as it does now because the lenses on the cameras are too big to put close enough together, so a mirroring system has to be used explained in the video below

these are the cameras used

48 of them where used just for the 3d scenes in 'the hobbit', the main body shown in the image below without any lenses, microphone..... would cost around £16000 each

this is because of their ability to film in 5K which is more than 4 times bigger then 1080p at 48fps which is an amazing resolution aswell as it's low weight and small size making them very versatile
